Is ALL of life "spiritual"

Recently I was asked why I see Open Mic Nights as a “spiritual thing.” Simple. Our souls came here to express.

When we create and share from our souls, we find freedom. We are able to access inner peace AND empowerment. When we release judgment (to the best of our human abilities) of ourselves and our creations, we change ourselves, each other, and we change the world. Actually, we BECOME our true selves. We heal. We help others heal. And that ripple effect matters. Uplifting others matters. Cultivating resilience matters.

Creativity. Connection. Community. That, for me, is “spiritual.”

And what if everything is “spiritual”? Doing the dishes. Taking a walk. A chat with a friend. Watching a movie with my hubby snuggled under a blanket. Getting mad/sad/scared? Feeling happy/silly/sleepy?

Look at all of life as spiritual. The simple definition is “relating to or affecting the human spirit.” That pretty much is everything. So maybe better yet, we let go of having to label at all.

Me writing this note affects my spirit.

And onward we go.

But wait! There's more! Sunday, April 20, (Easter Sunday), we'll be going for a walk in the woods. Casual, relaxed time out in nature. Probably at Rock Cut. Will confirm and let you know place and time. ALL are welcome, including kiddos. Just an opportunity for those who do not have anyone/anything that day and want some community and connection.
